Making such claims is no longer new to the tech CEO, as he’s been known to share statements that many people are likely to question.
Whether you’re a professional or non-pro-Musk chess player, the statement of this traditional strategy game will really be on your head for a few hours or days.
Although Elon is a very tech-savvy guy, many people won’t really see him as a chess master because he doesn’t share this game as one of his hobbies.
However, the billionaire seems to know a lot about chess. Here are the things he shared about the traditional board game.

One of the things he has shared with the public is one of his favorite tracks, “Elden Ring”. The billionaire even claimed that there was a time when he spent almost an entire day playing this adventure video game.
Another thing the Tesla boss shared is how he views chess as a simple game.
“I was on the school chess team, but I find chess to be a simple game. Frankly, in my opinion,” the billionaire said.
He added that chess only has 64 squares in total. Because Musk thinks this mechanic is pretty easy, he claimed he was really good at chess as a kid.
After saying all these things about the board game, he mentioned “Polytopia” (officially called “The Battle for Polytopia”), saying it’s better than chess.
What is “The Battle of Polytopia”?
“The Battle of Polytopia” is a 4x turn-based strategic video game. If you are a fan of “Clash of Clans” and other games, “Polytopia” is quite similar to them since it also allows you to build kingdoms, tribes and empires.
You can play this game online or offline, with other players or just bots. At press time, it’s available on macOS, Microsoft, iOS, and Android.
If you want to take the word of Elon Musk, you can try it for free as an official Google Play Store offers a one-month free trial.
Besides saying that chess is a simple game, he also made it clear, via his exclusive interviewthat the Tesla game console will not arrive.
As he appears in various interviews, the tech CEO is also busy sorting out his issues with Twitter.
Recently, he challenged Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal in a public debate over the platform’s fake accounts.
