Halo Infinite’s multiplayer beta already has an issue with cheaters

Infinite haloThe multiplayer beta of is a smash hit: a slew of PC and console gamers have jumped into the shooter since its surprise launch last week and 343 Industries’ latest title is already a hit … even before its official launch on December 8. .

However, popularity comes with its own problems. In addition to the wealth of players who have fun with the game in a pleasant and respectful manner, there are some who are a little more… unsportsmanlike.

Thanks to cross-platform play, console and PC gamers are starting to see the spread of players clearly using cheats to progress through multiplayer. One of these incidents, below, was detected by a Twitter user DougisRaw and clearly shows an opposing player stalking him through walls and locating his character through cover.

Another user, ZlepOfficial, was able to time a player who had a goal of questionable accuracy, could turn around and follow players with inhuman reaction times, and apparently break through walls on occasion. Check out the images below.

Another Reddit user also posted pictures of what looks like someone using an aimbot.

At least we know that anti-cheat, in one form or another, is coming soon. 343 Industries has already commented on the problem and noted “when you make a competitive game and it’s on PC, you need anti-cheat”. Hopefully this is factored into the game for its official launch on December 8th.
