No self-respecting Idahoan would wear this
Maybe someone less than eight years old. However, after seeing Ralphie wearing the bunny costume in a Christmas story, I think you’ll have to coerce the kids. A few years ago I had a friend and she had a costume that made her look like an Oompa Loompa. I never told him that because I care about my life!
We have our Townsquare Media Christmas party this week. However, there will be people in weird costumes. They are professional artists. A friend from college has become a clown in a famous circus. Sure, he looked silly in a suit, but he was making a good living. After the show, no one in the street recognized him.
He welcomes people
Our operations manager made a good observation on the clown’s look. It is disarming. This makes you more accessible at public events. That’s why I let my hair and beard grow. I hoped it would be intimidating and people would leave me alone. Instead, I’m more stopped than ever when I’m shopping or eating.
I should have known better. I look like every third guy you see on the streets of Idaho. Like your warm uncle, I guess.
It’s more of a guy thing
I have noticed that guys are more likely to wear ugly sweaters and dress like Christmas clowns. We used to work with a woman and she got involved in the spirit with the sweaters and antlers with lights. Let me just say she was one of the guys, and I’m thinking it in a good way. She was a born actress and still had common sense. We know some great people on the radio. And slightly offbeat!
